Tokio Marine HCC-MIS: How Coronavirus Affects Your Coverage
If You Purchased Your Atlas Policy on Or After July 15, 2020 : Your plan will cover eligible medical expenses resulting from COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2.
Atlas Travel Medical Insurance is an insurance policy designed for international travelers from around the world. Atlas travel insurance includes comprehensive medical, emergency evacuation and essential travel benefits that provide financial protection to international travelers against different kinds of risks you can encounter while traveling outside of your home country.
When you buy Atlas Travel Medical Insurance, you can customize your plan by setting a maximum limit and deductible amount. Eligible medical expenses are subject to deductible, overall maximum limit, and are per certificate period unless specifically indicated otherwise.
Overall Maximum Limit means the maximum amount of eligible expenses that Atlas Travel medical Insurance pays for all covered medical and travel benefits. You may select an overall Maximum limit from $50,000 to $2 million U.S. dollars. Emergency Medical Evacuation benefit is up to $1 million U.S. dollars and not subject to overall maximum limit.
Deductible means the dollar amount of eligible medical expenses that you must pay per certificate period before eligible expenses are paid by the insurance company. You may select a Deductible amount from $0 to $5,000.
Most eligible medical expenses are covered up to the overall maximum limit, except for some specifically indicated expenses, e.g. Emergency Dental for acute onset of pain is up to $300 and is not subject to deductible, Emergency Eye Exam for a Covered Loss is up to $150 and $50 deductible per occurrence (plan deductible is waived).
