Understanding Maximum Coverage Limit and Deductible

Atlas travel insurance policies are flexible and budget-friendly. You have options to customize your plan that best align with your needs.

Maximum Coverage Limit

Maximum means the maximum amount of eligible expenses that Atlas Travel Medical Insurance pays for all covered medical and travel benefits. Higher maximum coverage means your insurance pays out more, so you have to pay more for your insurance policy.

For both Atlas International plan and Atlas International Premium plan, applicants under 70 years old may select an overall Maximum limit of $50,000, $100,000, $250,000, $500,000, $1,000,000 or $2,000,000.

Applicants age 70-79 may select Maximum amount of $50,000, $100,000, or $ 150,000.

For applicants age 80 years or older the Maximum limit is $10,000 (Atlas International plan) or $20,000 (Atlas International Premium plan).

* Emergency Medical Evacuation, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Common Carrier Accidental Death, Personal Liability, and Crisis Response benefits are not subject to overall maximum limit.

Deductible means the dollar amount of eligible expenses, specified in the Schedule of Benefits and Limits that you must pay per certificate period before eligible expenses are paid. The higher Deductible amount you choose, the lower your pay for your insurance policy.

Deductible amount mainly applies to medical expenses, most travel benefits are not subject to deductible. You can select a Deductible amount of $0, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000.

If you want to buy a cheap travel medical insurance plan, then select a low maximum and high deductible plan with the same comprehensive coverage that best fits your needs and budget.
