While applying for Atlas Travel Medical Insurance, if you enter a home country / mailing address in Australia or Canada, you may receive a notice (see below).
The proposed insured person is the one who will be covered by the insurance policy. If you are buying insurance for yourself, you are the proposed insured. If you are buying insurance for someone else, you are not the proposed insured.
There are special requirements regarding the proposed insured person’s physical location to comply with Australia or Canada’s insurance regulations.
If the proposed insured person is not physically located in Australia or Canada the moment when you are applying for Atlas insurance online, then click “Continue” button to purchase this policy.
If the proposed insured person is physically located in Australia or Canada at the time of application, then you cannot purchase this policy and have to click “Cancel” button to stop the application.
When the proposed insured person leaves Australian or Canadian territory or has arrived at the destination country, you can purchase the insurance policy while the insured person is not physically located in Australia or Canada at the time of application.
If you are purchasing the insurance policy for someone else (e.g. your family, friends, etc), you are physically in Australia or Canada, and the proposed insured person is not in the above areas at the time of application, you can continue to apply.
Atlas Travel Medical Insurance is available for international travelers from over 180 countries. If you are from countries other than Australia or Canada, you may apply for Atlas insurance anytime anywhere.
