Atlas Travel Medical Insurance Bedside Visit Coverage

Atlas Travel Medical Insurance is an insurance policy designed for international travelers from around the world. Atlas travel insurance includes comprehensive medical, emergency evacuation and essential travel benefits that provide financial protection to international travelers against different kinds of risks you can encounter while traveling outside of your home country.

When traveling abroad, if you experience a life-threatening illness or injury and are confined to a hospital intensive care unit (ICU), it’s important to have family to support you through a difficult time.  Atlas Travel Medical Insurance has Bedside Visit benefit that pays for cost of an economy round-trip air or ground transportation ticket for one relative of yours to travel to where you are hospitalized, up to the amount indicated in the Schedule of Benefits and Limits. 

Relative means biological or step parent; biological or step child; current spouse; biological or step siblings; or parent, children, or sibling in law.

1. The cost of an economy round-trip air or ground transportation ticket for one relative for transportation to the terminal serving the area where you are hospitalized or are to be hospitalized. 

YOU ARE NOT COVERED unless you fulfill the following conditions:
1. You are confined to a hospital intensive care unit following a covered life-threatening bodily injury or life-threatening illness


1. Expenses arise directly or indirectly from anything in the General Exclusions.

You must file a claim for any expenses to be paid by HCC-MIS. Keep the original receipts for any expenses which have already been paid by you or on your behalf as proof of claim.
